About Dressta

Dressta has a rich heritage and has grown to become a global manufacturer of heavy construction equipment, renowned for engineering durable, powerful machines for the toughest applications – from mining or landfill dozers, to oil and gas pipelayers.

All of Dressta machinery is built by experienced engineers in Stalowa Wola, Poland factory – a town literally translated as ‘Will of Steel’. From this facility, Dressta expertly crafted machines are supplied throughout network of regional distributors, who provide users with instant and easy communication to both the Dressta sales and technical teams.

Dressta History

Key milestones of Dressta

1938

The Stalowa Wola factory was established as a source of military equipment.

1948

Factory transformed into one of the major manufacturers of construction equipment in Central Europe – known as Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW).

1972

Cooperation and License Agreement is signed between International Harvester Company and HSW. HSW bought the license and the know-how for IH crawler dozers, crawler loaders and pipelayers.

1973

First licensed TD-15C Crawler Dozer (140hp) manufactured at HSW.

1979

The largest TD-40 Crawler Dozer (450hp) assembled by HSW. The first machine designed by both Polish and American engineers.

1982

Cooperation Agreement is signed between Dresser and HSW.

1988

Joint Venture – Komatsu Dresser became a new partner of HSW.

1992

Komatsu America became a new partner of HSW.

1995

HSW and Komatsu America formed a Joint Venture Company: DRESSTA Co. Ltd.

1999

DRESSTA Trademark and Logo replaced DRESSER.

2005

The Komatsu-HSW Cooperation Agreement expired. HSW became an exclusive manufacturer of the crawler dozers, pipelayers and wheel loaders. DRESSTA Co. Ltd. became an exclusive exporter of this construction equipment to worldwide markets. HSW became the 100% owner of Dressta Co. Ltd.

2012

Guangxi LiuGong Machinery acquired HSW Division I and DRESSTA Construction Equipment Business. HSW Division was renamed to LiuGong Machinery (Poland).

2014

LiuGong Machinery (Poland) took over Dressta and renamed it to LiuGong Dressta Machinery Sp. z o.o.

LDM operates a certified Quality Management System. It acts according to ISO 9001:2008 for the design, manufacturing and service of construction equipment, assemblies, and parts and services for the range of the technologies used.
Accredited Testing Laboratory
LDM has an accredited Testing Laboratory, which conforms to the current Accreditation Certificate No. AB 195 – issued by the Polish Centre for Accreditation in Warsaw and meeting the requirements of PN-EN ISO / IEC 17025:2005.
